I recently upgraded to XFree86 4.3 on my home desktop because I had just installed a new ATI Radeon 9500 video card in it and needed 4.3 to support that card. I compiled it from scratch and installed it on top of the woody X installation. I may be sorry for this in the future, but I've been doing this a long time so can probably handle it. I wouldn't have done that, though, unless I absolutely needed to (which I did). My advice would be to let well enough alone unless you really need to go to the later version. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
