This is where I run into the problem. The files do not have a .log extension. They are in the format of MM.DD.YYYY
Then anchor appropriatelly:
/var/log/samba/smb\.[0-9][0-9]\.[0-9][0-9]\.[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]
