Im a 2.4 design analyst for a company, 2.5 is, well, different, assuming that if im having problems, that I am ill-equipped to do it, is nonsense, wouldnt you like a sneak preview of 2.6?

Don't do it. Or, if you're going to do it (hint: you can't use make-kpkg at the moment) don't expect to upload it into the Debian archive. If you were indeed qualified to package 2.5 .debs you'd be able to debug the problem facing you.
