hi all i run debian kernel 2.4.18 on a ibm t22 notebook. i am trying to connect to att cable-modem using the intel ethernet card. i have pump as the dhcp client. i dont have dhcp-client installed.
my /etc/network/interfaces has the entry: iface eth1 inet dhcp when i do a ifup eth1 or pump -i eth1, i get the message "operation failed".
