Folks-- Its time to repartition my disks. The plan is to: 1. Put all the user data I want to keep onto tape 2. Install debian from scratch (including repartition) 3. Restore .deb package database 4. Re-fetch current .debs 5. Restore user data and configuration data.
My questions are: Is this feasable? How do I do Steps 3&4? Which /var/lib or /var/cache files do I need to save for the new installation? Which commands do I need to read-up on to effect the re-installation of the .debs? Thanks, --rich -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
