Hi,

I have installed Debian 2.2r5 from the Internet, but I didn't select c++
development packages at the installation. Now I would like to install it,
but dselect says that the libstdc++-dev package conflicts with the
libc6-dev package (which I don't really see why). If I force the install
with dpkg, everything works just fine, except that I can't use dselect
anymore, becouse it doesn't want to do anything before removing these two
packages (libstdc++-dev and g++). How could I have g++ and gcc installed
at the same time?

My other problem is that dselect just doesn't want to install some
packages. I select them to have installed, there are'nt any dependency
problems, but when I go to the Install menu in dselect, it just says "0
packages to be installed..." and returns.

I think that my apt database is messed up somehow.. reinstalling the whole
system would fix this for sure:) but I don't have the CD-s and don't want
to do it from the Net...

Thanks for your help,
Balazs Miklos.
