Aren't you confusing Windows / Unix user names and Windows machine names? Are the Windows 98 machines asking for user/password when they are switched on? Please try this: 1) On "brian" machine, select "client for microsoft networks" under network properties (now it'll ask for user/password when it comes up). Reboot. 2) Log into the machine using "brian" as user and whatever password you defined on the samba machine; 3) Try to access your samba shares now. Hope that helps. If not, you'll have to provide more info. Luck. -- Carlos Sousa -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
