This list's discussion of Debian installer oddities doesn't apply in the Macintosh world: I've done both recently; the first time I ever saw a Debian installer was 3 months ago when I put it on my sister's old-as-they-get iMac - no problems or hitches at all, but I'm still recovering from bruises from several attempts on a i386 laptop - and finally success last weekend. The label I wrote on my Mac CD set is "Debian ppc 301." Get the ones that say something about ppc. To boot the CD, put disk #1 in the iMac's CD drive, restart, and hold down the "c" key. That ought to get you the installer, and it's all downhill from there. -- Glenn English [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
