Not exaclty. But when I install gdm I get a post-install error: dpkg: error processing gdm (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: gdm E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) and when I try to remove it scrollkeeper complains thet /usr/local/share/omf is missing. Maybe it's because I'm fairly new to the magical world of Debian, but I can only remove it when I start a Xterm. If X is not started apt-get remove seems to hang. After a ctrl-c apt-get says: dpkg: error while cleaning up: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: gdm E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Seems weird to me... While I'm at it: when I install gnome (apt-get install task- gnome-desktop or task-gnome-apps) it complains that I don't use a Gnome compliant window manager. I installed windowmaker, sawfish ?nd enlightenment so that shouldn't be a problem, should it? I've tried several google searches, but I haven't figured it out yet. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
