I am considering moving some of my mail servers at work to a mix of
debian/exim/courier-imap and pop/squirrelmail. This will house about 500
users and am trying to figure out the best way to go about this.
I now currently use actual linux users to receive mail with exim as the MTA
on a test box. This works fine, but there are just under 30 users. Is there
a better setup that I can use to have all virtual users (mysql preferably)
that will work with courier and exim? Manually adding 500 linux users does
sound like a lot of fun, but if there is a way I can do it "virtually", I
believe the server performance will be much greater.
TIA.
