On my Woody box I setup /dev/hdc (cdrom) as ide-scsi using the 2.2.20 kerenl. This box has an onboard adaptec scsi controller/ scsi cd burner.
>From /etc/modutils/actions options ide-cd ignore='hdc' pre-install modprobe sg ide-scsi alias scsi_hostadapter1 aic7xxx alias scsi_hostadapter2 ide-scsi I changed to the 2.4.18 kernel and now I get an error from xcdroast that my scsi bus(s) have changed. I think running the 2.4.18 kernel has changed the order of my two scsi bus's, if that is possible. scsi0 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE ATAPI devices scsi1 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.4 <Adaptec aic7890/91 Ultra2 SCSI adapter> aic7890/91: Ultra2 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 32/253 SCBs If the order of has changed can I just reverse the order in /etc/modutils/actions?
