So basically, you recompile your kernel with CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI=y (module does not work) and boot your kernel with parameter 'hdc=scsi', where hdc is your cdrw. Then it became a scsi device (so your cdrom is now /dev/scd0 in stead of /dev/hdc, if you loaded the scsi cdrom module). Then you should be alble touse your burner.
