AFAIK this is the cleanest partition table you can get on a mac. The first
partition is the table itself. The second partiton is a fake one. You
should be able to create Linux partitions now, using mac-fdisk.

In order to do so, start mac-fdisk, hit 'c' and create the desired
partition. After that you have to make another (small) partition for swap
space.

But powerpc related questions are better answered in debian-powerpc list.
