I have galeon installed on woody and initially it worked without a problem and I was impressed. But for the last few weeks galeon crashes when I try to set the preferences. That happens even when I remove ~/.galeon and try again.
The error message is: ------------- GnomeUI-ERROR **: file gnome-icon-item.c: line 304 (get_default_font): assertion failed: (default_font != NULL) aborting... --------------- I suppose this have something to do with installed fonts. I have the following xfonts installed: $ dpkg -l xfonts* | grep ii ii xfonts-100dpi 4.1.0-13 100 dpi fonts for X ii xfonts-75dpi 4.1.0-13 75 dpi fonts for X ii xfonts-base 4.1.0-13 standard fonts for X ii xfonts-intl-eu 1.2-2 International fonts for X -- European. ii xfonts-scalabl 4.1.0-13 scalable fonts for X ii xfonts-scalabl 4.0.3-3 non-free Type1 fonts from XFree86 ii xfonts-terminu 3.83-2 Eyes-friendly fixed-width fonts for terminal Is there a remedy? On another (unstable) machine I have no problem with galeon.
