Boot lock after "Calibrating delay loop..."

Hi.

I'm unable to boot my machine. It stops at the line "Calibrating delay 
loop...".
I've tried with the debian boot CD, SuSE, RedHat, Slackware and Mandrake,
each with different version.
My machine is a Dual Pentium 166 MHz (MMX), Gigabyte GA586DX MoBo with 
Adaptec SCSI AIC7880P onboard,
32 MB EDO, Sony CDU55E (single Speed) and Trident9000 ISA VGA.
