How can i change default gtk font so to use my true type fonts? What for gtk do you mean - the old one (1.2) or the newer one (2.X) ?

I've solved it. I don't know why but my sid didn't install /etc/gtk/gtkrc file, so I created one and put into
style "gtk-default-iso-8859-15" { fontset ="-monotype-arial-medium-r-normal-*-12-*-*-*-p-*-iso8859-15" } class "GtkWidget" style "gtk-default-iso-8859-15"
Simply changing the font set (or adding new ones) will let you get rid of that ugly helvetica default font.
Bye
