what does the system say when you run /etc/init.d/jabber start ? what does the logs say? been about 8 months since I used the debian version of jabber but the init script worked fine for me at the time(on woody) nate -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
