Wherever you want, really. The FHS is not a standard system administrators have to go out of their way to conform to, it's a standard to make life easier for system administrators. Sysadmins don't have to follow debian policy either. Of course if you fly too much in the face of the FHS or debian policy (like trying to move all of your binaries into oh, /Program Files/), you're going to be in for a world of hurt. :-) -- see shy jo
