looks like you only installed xchat-common, which doesn't have a binary. install xchat-gnome for a gnome/gtk interface to xchat or xchat-text for a console(?) interface to xchat. xchat-gnome is usually the default. you can also always do dpkg -L <packagename> to find what files are in what package, though it is odd from your email the system saying file list is not available..are you running woody(debian 3.0r1)? nate -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
