Just install 'j2re1.3' from a blackdown mirror.  You'll need it
anyways, the plugin is just a bridge to a real JVM, not a JVM in and
of itself.  

To install the plugin (if you really want to do it manually) just copy
the .so to the plugins directory and restart galeon.
