-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi.
(Yes, I looked thru the archives for the recent article on xterm weirdness.) Here it is: I ssh from a konsole on my workstation (rebel) to my almost-totally-woody debian firewall (foobar). This afternoon, the Insert, Home & End keys worked correctly at foobar's console, and in the ssh session inside the konsole session on rebel. Then, I did "apt-get upgrade" and upgraded ~55 packages, then rebooted. Now, in konsole ssh sessions from rebel to foobar, the Insert, Home & End keys don't work from the 2.05a.0(1) prompt. Delete, Backspace, & the 4 arrow keys work, though. And the 4 questionable keys *do* work in curses programs like vim 6. # showkey -s kb mode was XLATE press any key (program terminates after 10s of last keypress)... ^[[2~ #Insert ^[[1~ #Home ^[[4~ #Delete # dumpkeys |grep Ins keycode 110 = Insert string Insert = "\033[2~" There are no entries for Home & End. Any thoughts? TIA, Ron - -- +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ron Johnson, Jr. Home: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | Jefferson, LA USA http://ronandheather.dhs.org | | | !
