dx, I'll just reverse the order I'll answer your questions. >And how do you make/allocate partitions for both of them without >stepping on each other?
Easy. Just make a separate partitions for RHL and Debian. Be it primary or logical whatever. Your call. Fortunately, you can make them share the same swap partition. You can let the installer programs of either distros do this for you upon install, or invoke cfdisk or fdisk on either distro when you've installed either of them first. >I just like to know how can I install Debian and Redhat >on the same PC. I already installed Redhat using Grub, >but Debian is using LILO. In your RHL partition, fix your /boot/grub/menu.lst so it can alternately boot Debian. Then issue grub-install as root. if lilo wiped out grub, boot to your debian partition, apt-get --purge remove lilo, then apt-get install grub so you'll use grub in Debian. Then issue grub-install as root, fix the /boot/grub/menu.lst so it'll see Debian and RedHat. Then grub-install again to load grub in the mbr. For more info, man grub. Note that grub-install is not present with grub version 0.56 (the one that comes with earlier potato releases). It's a bit harder story with grub 0.56 on how to configure it compared to 0.9x.
