The fontmap file shouldn't have full paths for standard PS fonts, as ghostscript should known to look in /usr/lib/ghostscript/fonts for them. I recall seeing some posts about setting a GS_LIB environment variable. It shouldn't be necessary, but perhaps the package was built improperly (so gs doesn't know where to look for fonts)? Course, I've been using the gs-aladdin package, and it looks like apt wants to remove it in favor of gs-6.51-6 ... -- Eric G. Miller <egm2@jps.net>
