as root start up Mozilla. (i know...)
-->Enable Java: Edit->Properties->Advanced->Java

-->As root: cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
-->ln -s java2/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so .

to see if it worked, as user browse to "about:plugins".
