My last mail , I said that the
kernel showed an "Unknown Bridge device" at
boot - up ,
and I was told that it seemed harmless and restricted
to i81x PCI devices.
I personally feel it is harmless , but ,
how can I make the most of it for Linux ?

Well this might be how my Windows 98 describes it :

Intel(r) 82802 Firmware Hub Device

Could veterans on this list please tell me :
a) Whether this is something proximate to a real HUB?
b) Whether I can do NIC - stuff with this card ?
c) How can I make Linux (mine is RedHat 7.1 on kernel 2.4.2-2)
make the most of it ? --or-- at least use it?
d) How can I make a CD or floppy (is this question silly ?)
auto-mountable , more-or less the same effect as you get
in Windows ? I know PnP(Plug and Play does not apply to my
question , but , may be that can be used.

What I mean to say is : suppose I insert the CD into the drive after 1/2
an hour , I want it to be mounted at that time - I mean --- not manual mounting.

Warm Regards,
