I read somewhere that ALSA was the future of sound on Linux, if that's true, why is the documentation so far out of date? Anyway, here is my problem.
I've compiled 2.4.16 and alsa-modules. I've now been trying to set up sound for 3 days now (mostly kernel compile problems) It really shouldn't be this hard. I've been searching everywhere for answers.
