This can be a problem with PDF's if non-standard fonts aren't embedded. The PDF standard has a small number of built-in fonts (Courier, Times, Helvetica, Zapf Dingbats, I think that's it). So, if the document specifies a font you don't have on your system, AcroRead will just substitute something else. Check File->Document->Fonts... To my mind, this is the biggest problem with PDF's and can destroy the whole notion of "Portable"... -- Eric G. Miller <egm2@jps.net>
