  I don't know if you resolved this yet or not.  I
haven't seen any responses to your initial email.  I
have a nic card that uses the tulip driver and had to
compile the driver also.  I had the same problem i.e.
could not find modversions.h . Here is something that
I found on scyld.com that resolved the modversion.h
problem.  After you type the compile command add this
on the same line "-I/usr/src/linux/include -include
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modversions.h" .
