Um...
This may sound dumb. But I recently tried setting up the DNS server for
my LAN.
I grabbed some previously known good configuration files from an earlier
bind installation. But it doesn't seem to want to work.
I can cache and do forwarders, but nothing works locally (that's LAN,
not localhost).
So, the dumb question is this: Is there some naming convention of files
that I have to pay attention to?
Probably -- I don't recall ever seeing db. on any of my previous bind
configurations. I was using Slackware with a source code installation
of bind 8.
Does Debian use a different file format, or has bind changed their
format for everyone?
