yeah seems network config is ok..only other thing i'd do is run tcpdump on machine E and see what comes up when you try to connect to machine a. tcpdump -i eth0 dst IP_OF_MACHINE_A and run tcpdump on machine A: tcpdump -i <interface> src IP_OF_MACHINE_E
