nonsensically i added
ifconfig tap0 down
to /etc/init.d/rc.local
and added
route add net 0.0.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.255 gw
192.168.1.1
to the same...
i can ping whatever i want now!
i know this isnt the right way to do this, though...
where are eth0 and tap0 initiated from...?
how about adding to the routing table the right way?
