I seem to have acquired a Dell 1702FP Flat Panel Monitor. I have a Matrox G400 video card, and I'm running Xfree 4.1 from testing, using the mga driver from Xfree (rather than the one from Matrox). The monitor will in principle take either a digital or an analog input from the video card.
Does anyone know where I might get information about how to get the best performance out of this monitor? Will setting it up be as simple as putting the right numbers (resolution, horizontal/vertical sync and so on) into XF86-Config-4? I've looked for information in various places, and found some abstruse stuff about double-head systems, but have had less success in finding basic information.
