We are always in need of new translators. Do keep in mind, however, that the Debian project not only need people to translate its own set of documentation and www pages, but also to join the effort of i18n (internationalization) and l10n (localization) of the software we package. We usually prefer to have the l10n/i18n material agregated to the distribution and the upstream software themselves. This helps the continuous maintenance of such translations a lot. The other translators will explain how such work is coordinated better to you. We have some mailing lists that are direclty related to supporting Chinese in Debian. Please direct futher questions to the following mailinglists, where people will be able to give you much better information on how to join our Chinese translation teams: * debian-chinese-big5: Chinese Users [Big5] * debian-chinese-gb: Chinese Users [GB] * debian-i18n: Debian Internationalization In particular, the debian-chinese-* lists are lists where Chinese is spoken (they are for the Chinese-speaking users of Debian), and the debian-i18n list is the place of coordination of the internationalization and translation of Debian.
