-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, My installation did not go too well. Although I did manage to get the initial installation done, there is a show-stopper problem:
When the system is booting, it gets to the point where it says: "Calculating module dependencies..." ( ...this is from my memory... ) and freezes the system. It requires a _hard_ reboot. A few times it managed to get past this problem which is how I got a functional installation. But not since the installation was completed. This also happened once or twice during the install phase at which time I learned how to use apt-setup, apt-get, and dselect. I did a "vanilla" install. Selected a few extra device drivers (for nfs, hpfs and ntfs). The computer is a multi-boot using IBM's Boot Manager, booting os/2 and (theoretically) linux. The main linux installation is on disk0; the swap disk is on disk1. Any ideas why the sytem freezes? Anything I can do about it?
