I'm trying to install VMware on debian and all goes smoothly until it tries to find a 'vmmon' module for my kernel. it's asking for the dir where my C header files are, but then saying that they don't match the version i'm running. i don't see how that's possible. here's the error:
The directory of kernel headers (version 2.2.19) does not match your running kernel (version 2.2.19pre17). Even if the module were to compile successfully, it would not load into the running kernel. seems like it might be a syntactical error somewhere. any ideas? any help appreciated! thanks, rory
