Hi, At the moment, as far as I can gather, there is a transistion happening between KDE 2.1 and KDE 2.2 on Woody. This means that some of the libs/core files/apps have not been moved over correctly. I've hit upon the same problem (very very very annoying that tab thing - also, if you ALT-F2 and type in a shortcut (say kon (for konsole that you previously typed in) and hit tab - it doesn't expand out the name, rather it drops down the options box - arrgh!).
Anyway, until the transition is complete, don't expect full operation from KDE 2.2. I've moved to WindowMaker for the moment until it all sorts itself out. Sorry I can't be of any real help, but I thought you might like to know that there are others in the same boat. You may also want to check out debian-kde-user for more info. -=David=- Hark ye!
