If you are looking for a gui to browse your smb network. I recommend xsmbrowser, it easy to use. Just set up your network, via the xsmbrowser menu and you should be good to go.
Have not played with smb2www. If you are printing to a windows printer, at this point I recommend CUPS. Its the easiest to configure.
