I installed XFree86 4.1.0 from the binaries provided at ftp://ftp.xfree86.org, and it installed some font server that my system doesn't let work(and causes the system to hang during startup). What is the proper way to install xfree86 4.1.0 on Debian Potato 2.2r3? I don't think the install script provided with xfree86 is worth beans on Debian.
