Actually, 2.2.20's out, though not yet packaged for Debian last I checked. There are some security-related bugs addressed in it. I'd pick 2.2.20, or, feeling adventurous (hey, it's a friend's laptop), a 2.4.10 kernel. Peace. -- Karsten M.
