Yep, I'm having the same problem. I'm running an EPSON Stylus Photo 700 under woody using printtool (which I thought had conflicted with LPRng when I tried to install what 'Debian Unleashed', 2000, described as "Debian's native printing model") ... If it is as simple as changing /dev/lp1 t /dev/lp0 it is worth trying.
