Hi Morbo to apply a patch to a kernel source tree change to /usr/src and either gzip -d <patch.gz> or bunzip2 <patch.bz2> and then do: patch-p0 <patch If your applying a patch from Alan make a link from linux.ac to linux by doing: ln -s linux linux.ca before applying his patches.
