Even though /usr/X11R6/bin/ and /usr/bin/X11/ are in the users path, startx didn't execute correctly. BUT after doing /usr/X11R6/bin/startx or /usr/bin/X11/startx, X did start. NOW startx, by itself, works as before. Very weird. -- At the source of every error which is blamed on the computer you will find at least two human errors, including the error of blaming it on the computer. _______________________________________________________
