The web site of the San Francisco library has a feature where you can
look at your record and renew books. It uses java, I believe.
Unfortunately, I can't get it to work from Linux.

I recall that there is some problem accessing some sites on the web
that don't obey some internet protocol, but I can't recall exactly
what it was and can't find a reference to it. Can anyone refresh my
memory? And even better, could anyone tell me if that is a possible
culprit? I can see the site (http://sfpl.lib.ca.us/), I just can't
use parts of it. At least today, I'm also not seeing the graphics.

Woody system, 2.4.9 kernel, mozilla 0.9.3 with crypto and java.
JRE 1.3.0_01. The crypto and java features seem to work OK on other sites.

Konqueror acts the same, though I haven't put the same effort into
setting it up for java. It looks as if it's using my system's default
java, which is kaffe.
