Linux isn't up to 6.0, so this must refer to the distribution.

And Debian isn't up to 6.0, so it must be a different one.

This looks quite distribution specific, so you're probably better off
asking somewhere else - and specifying what distribution you're talking
about.

However, at a guess, a supplementary (installation) disk could well
contain additional device drivers that don't fit on the boot disk.
