aha! so it is a winmodem...don't despair maybe it can work...haven't tried one though...anyway,don't mess around with serial.conf....the problem's not there...
I believe you forgot to uncomment the line which reads " (INT 0 (IRQ 3 (MODE +E)))" change the IRQ if 3 is being used to 4,5,7 or 9 whichever is free.. pls post /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog so we'll have a better chance of uncovering the problem -- Sent through GMX FreeMail - http://www.gmx.net
