tinyproxy problem: won't load slashdot

Hi,

I've put tinyproxy on my server and it works, mostly. Configuring it was 
a breeze. One problem:

it won't load http://www.slashdot.org

and the log shows that a connection is there:

CONNECT   Mar 08 18:52:58 [13311]: Request (file descriptor 5): GET 
http://slashdot.org/ HTTP/1.1
CONNECT   Mar 08 18:52:58 [13311]: Established connection to host 
"slashdot.org" using file descriptor 6.
CONNECT   Mar 08 18:53:14 [13312]: Request (file descriptor 7): GET 
http://slashdot.org/ HTTP/1.1
CONNECT   Mar 08 18:53:14 [13312]: Established connection to host 
"slashdot.org" using file descriptor 8.

Mozilla appears busy but never ever loads the pages. My laptop, a win95 
system with mozilla 1.2.1, can load every other page I can think of. 
ONLY slashdot fails... Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks in advance,
