Linux 2.2.19pre17-compact #1 Mon Apr 2 01:35:19 PDT 2001 i686 unknown ide BTC cdrw
just did an 'apt-get install cdrecord' as I understand I should not have to recompile my kernel or edit lilo.conf I admit to not following the howtos very well(read lost) or the man pages. As root I'll run # cdrecord -scanbus ---returns cdrecord: no such file or directory. Cannot open SCSI driver. I don't mean to cut off my homework short but where do I proceed from here to diagnos this? Thanks for any input.
