I'm running sid. I installed a bunch of alsa stuff, including "alsaconf-0.4", which said that is the thing to run to configure your sound hardware. So, I ran it, and things seemed to go well until it actually tried to run "/etc/init.d/alsa start". It gives me an error of
Loading driver: Starting ALSA sound driver (version none):modprobe: Can't locate module snd failed.x x Setting the PCM volume to 100% and the Master output volume to 50% x amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or directory x Could not initialize the mixer, the card was probably x not detected correctly I've seen the "can't locate module snd" before.
