There is nothing line "identd ..." in my logs. Looks like there was no identd installed. So I just installed the pidentd package. Doing that I just found out that everything works while I'm online and my ISPs nameserver is reachable. Looks like the nameserver is queried before /etc/hosts. But why? Thomas
