I'm not sure exactly where the problem lies, but I noticed when I rebuilt my kernel a few weeks ago for USB (I just used the newest, 2.4.9) that there was a note in the /drivers/char/drm section that it was being specifically set up for X 4.1.x, which I wasn't using at the time. I had to replace the contents of that directory with a patch to make my xserer fonts and GL screen servers and so forth run normally. Now that woody did the upgrade, I went back, reinserted all the original stuff, recompiled, and voila! All is well. Again, I don't know how much of this applies to your problem, and I realize I'm being a little long-winded, but it looks to me like a new DRM setup, and it may just be a mismatch issue. Other people may have more helpful things to say, however. Good luck, Steve
